I continue my journey now having come to know myself as a part of all that is and having learned again to listen to the unimaginable rhythms of the universe as it resonates in the core of me.

I was born in Boston as Benford Davis and reared in New Orleans, until that instance of karma we have nicknamed Katrina. I am a Superdome survivor and now getting familiar with Dallas Texas where I was delivered to. Not somewhere I would have thought I would be, but the universe manifest its love wherever I allow it to by accepting and opening to love. And love has flowed. I only hope to be able to give back to Dallas what she has given to me by being a conduit of such compassion.

I am an artist by trade and have been creating art for many years in many forms. I am a bit of a renaissance man as Artist, Actor, Dances, Sculptor, writing, etc.. I have found that once you have tapped into the universal flow and the collective mind, the creative energy can be channeled to many places.

I am most known for my Graphics, Posters (The Mardi Gras Zulu Posters among them). About five years ago I was led to start creating websites for friends that turned out to be a new business on top of my graphic works. All of my business was done over the web.  I am grateful for it as it made my transition to Dallas easier as I did not have to find work but just continued where I left off.  I made sure to carry my hard drive through it all in a water tight drink bag. 

I know without doubt that I was prepared to leave New Orleans, as I suddenly found myself in Universal Boot camp. I wondered just what I was being prepared for but I had no doubt I was being prepared.

New Orleans was good to and for me and I will miss all the moments of growing and learning life and people. It is so raw and in your face that it teaches life lessons quickly if not gently.

One of the most important times there. was learning to deconstruct my life and live off of the land for about five years. Learning how to grow food and make fire for cooking, recycling and cycling. It was amazing to learn how things grew. We take for granted that we know what we eat, but I learned so much out what I ate and where it came from. Just knowing that a sweat potato is the root of a beautiful, Morning Glory-like vine complete with flowers.

It was I time in my life for grow and I, as with all things in my life, tried to put all that I had into it. I wanted to be the kind of man that you could drop in the forest and he would and could make a home there.

  I gave up all that I knew as an urban reared man, television, radio, car, electricity to see if I could exist and exist I did. It remains for me the most miraculous time of my life. It is then that time to take a new name came, as I realized a new person existed. None of the old energy seemed to fit. I hope to be able to live it again someday.
