How do you respond to being alone?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 14, 2008:
I enjoy time without human being around me, but I am never alone. Oneness means being connected to all things and I cannot recall a moment of being alone. If not the earth, plants, animals, then it is the air, sun, or stars that keep me company.
I also realized that even though I may seem physically apart my soul is connected constantly to those that I love. I am psychically on-line and can send and receive information all the time when I am in flow. Whenever I am still beyond the reach of man's noise then coming to oneness is that much easier and connection stronger.
I can feel more alone on a bustling street than when I am physically by myself.
